DTH Satellite Study: Alexander and Associates’ annual
DTH Satellite Study takes an in-depth look at the media consumption patterns
of small dish owners. The media consumption patterns covered in this analysis
include video rental and purchase behavior, PPV transactions and premium
cable subscription changes. In addition, the study covers consumers’ attitudes
towards home video, PPV and satellite experiences, and examines how these

Advanced
Media Community Study/Digital Cable Survey: Coinciding
with the DTH Satellite Study, we conduct separate research into the penetration
of digital cable based on our exclusive "Advanced Media Communities" methodology.
This methodology takes five communities in which digital cable is established
and has been in place for at least 24 months and samples 500 subscribers
from each community – not just cable or digital cable homes, but the whole
community. The questionnaire we use is based on our successful and well-established
DTH Satellite Study and focuses on the full range of home entertainment
behavior, enabling us to paint a true picture of how upgrading to a broader
pipe affects media behavior in various market segments. For more information
